Every single blog, magazine, tv show and influencer is talking about living a healthier lifestyle. There absolutely right. Adjusting your diet and regular exercise is the golden combo to a fitter and stronger body. But did you know the wonderful benefits it has on your brain?

Our brain is on and active from the second we wake up in the morning until the moment we fall to sleep at night. Without this amazing organ, every single thought or activity could simply not exist. Sometimes we take for granted the hard work and effort it does for us every single day but if you treat your brain to a good strength or cardio training it will perform even more miracles for you.

Several researchers have found that age or the intensity of the training do not matter when it comes to the effect exercising has on the brain and the hippocampus. If you ’re a child, adolescent or senior the positive effect of any exercise is equal.   

Take learning a new language for example. A 20-minute walk before your Spanish course will make it so much easier for you to hold on to the teachings.

ENDORPHINS 

This probably not the first time you read about the combination of endorphins and sports. Endorphins are white cells in our body that work similar to the painkiller morphine. When we exercise the endorphin levels in our blood rise. This will give you a soothing feeling en it decreases stress and anxiety. Adrenaline rushes make our fears grow bigger and endorphin makes the fear disappear.

Taking a walk (preferably out in nature or along the beach) after a stressful day can, therefore, help you release the tension in your body. This way depression or a burn-out will more likely pass your door.

QUICK RESULTS

The results of both benefits are easy to achieve. German studies show that any kind of physical movement for more than 10 minutes can release endorphins and help your Hippocampus grow. This means that it doesn’t take much for you to enjoy these benefits at all! such good news.

  3. Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the
    shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
